The coronavirus has infected Romanians until now, the country's authorities officially confirming this figure just a few moments ago, and we are talking about a new increase in the number of cases registered in Romania, getting closer and closer to the figure of 10.000.
The coronavirus has infected almost 7000 Romanians, but almost 1000 have already been declared cured by the authorities, the figure of 914 being continuously increasing every day, remaining at over 10% of the total number of confirmed cases up to now.
The number of tests performed daily for the samples taken from Romanians has increased to 5000, as can be seen between yesterday's and today's reports, and the increase from yesterday to today is only a little over 300 new cases, despite the large number of tests done.
Unfortunately, the number of people hospitalized in intensive care has reached 231, being on the rise, and based on the figures provided by the authorities, about 15% of the total capacity of the intensive care infrastructure is occupied at the moment.

By the competent structures of the MAI, 379 criminal files have been drawn up, up to now, under the aspect of committing the crime of thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 para. 1 Criminal Code.
The police and gendarmes detected, in the last 24 hours, 9.791 people who did not comply with the traffic restriction measure. Contraventional sanctions were applied to these persons, amounting to 21.822.256 lei.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other countries, according to the information obtained by diplomatic missions and consular offices of Romania abroad, 703 Romanian citizens have been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 420 in Italy, 196 in Spain, 21 in France, 9 in Germany, 42 in the UK, 2 in Namibia, 2 in the USA, 2 in Austria, 2 in Belgium, 2 in Indonesia and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg and Sweden. From the beginning of the epidemic of COVID-19 (coronavirus) until this moment, 47 Romanian citizens abroad, 13 in Italy, 11 in France, 12 in Great Britain, 7 in Spain, 2 in Germany, one in Belgium and one in Sweden, they died.
