The number of infections with COVID-19 in Romania is continuously increasing, with 13.837 cases being confirmed today by the authorities, and we are talking about an advance towards that peak that the authorities have been talking about until now, but unfortunately not yet I touched.
The number of people declared to be cured after being infected with COVID-19 is increasing, exceeding the percentage of 30% for some time, yesterday being for the first time more than the number of people declared to be infected, and we hope that this trend will not stop here.
Unfortunately, we notice that the number of new daily infections remains constant at over 300, so we do not have a constant decrease in the number of cases, which is far from good news before the restrictions are lifted on May 15.
The situation in Romania requires that people do not give up social distancing and protection practices because there are still many infections with COVID-19 in the country, and as the situation is, it is possible that on May 15 we will not have even that much of a decrease of the daily number of cases.

The police and gendarmes detected, in the last 24 hours, 3.709 people who did not respect the traffic restriction measure. Contraventional sanctions were applied to these persons, amounting to 6.795.810 lei.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other countries, according to the information obtained by diplomatic missions and consular offices of Romania abroad, 2.384 Romanian citizens have been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1.387 in Italy, 560 in Spain, 29 in France, 271 in Germany, 78 in Great Britain, 28 in Holland, 2 in Namibia, 3 in USA, 4 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Malta and Sweden. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and up to this moment, 96 Romanian citizens abroad, 29 in Italy, 19 in France, 30 in Great Britain, 8 in Spain, 5 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, and one in the US, have passed away.
Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 21 were declared cured: 9 in Germany, 8 in France, 2 in Indonesia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
