COVID-19 dsu blood donation

COVID-19 has been at the center of attention of the DSU, the Department of Emergency Situations, for more than two months, but today the authorities come with another call for citizens, one to donate blood, which is very much needed in this period .

COVID-19 has kept many people away from the collection centers, and the DSU does not want plasma from those who have been cured, but blood for those who need transfusions, asking the Romanians not to forget that their help is needed so that the country ours always led to lack of blood.

"People need blood like air! Do you want to help? Go and donate!

Blood donation does not have to stop with the new coronavirus pandemic. It is very important that this action continues!

Donate blood if you have not traveled abroad in the last 28 days, have not come into contact with infected persons and do not show symptoms specific to the coronavirus infection!

Let's do something for people with serious conditions and give them a chance at life! Donate blood!

Your generosity can save other people's lives.

IMPORTANT

  • Donors benefit from additional safety measures, and optimal measures have been taken in the transfusion centers to protect the staff of the centers and the people to whom the blood products will reach.
  • In all donation centers in the country there is a triage point where temperature is measured, travel history, possible contact with infected people and possible symptoms of infection are investigated.
  • Donors receive masks, rigorous hand disinfection is supervised, donation spaces are regularly disinfected and donors are kept at an optimal distance.
  • There is the possibility of remote appointment for blood donation, by phone, by email or through mobile applications such as Donorium."
