Today's new report on the situation of the number of infections with the new Coronavirus in Romania shows us that we are talking about a total number of confirmed cases for our country, continuously increasing before the lifting of many restrictions, which will happen tomorrow.
The number of people declared to be cured has exceeded 50% of the total number of infections, which is very good news, and we hope that the number will continue to increase in the next period, but it also depends on us for this to happen.
The number of new confirmed cases has increased compared to the previous days, still remaining below that of last week, but we are still talking about many confirmations made every day, and this requires a lot of caution on the part of all people.
Tomorrow many of the restrictions imposed by the government will be lifted, and that means we will be able to do much more, so we have to be even more vigilant because not everyone protects themselves properly, unfortunately.
"Until today, May 14, on the territory of Romania, 16.247 cases of people infected with the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the people confirmed positive, 9.053 were declared cured and discharged.
The number of cured people, highlighted above, is due to the latest updates registered at the level of Suceava county.

At the same time, so far, 1046 people diagnosed with infection with COVID-19, admitted to hospitals in Dolj, Bucharest, Iași, Suceava, Arad, Bacău, Timiș, Cluj, Neamț, Hunedoara, Constanța, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Ialomița, Bistrița- Năsăud, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Vrancea, Galati, Caraș-Severin, Mureș, Giurgiu, Bihor, Argeș, Vaslui, Botoșani, Alba, Sălaj, Brașov, Mehedinți, Teleorman, Gorj, Prahova, Vâlcea, Calarasi, Maramureș, Olt and Ilfov, they died.
Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 245 new cases of illness have been registered.
At the moment, 225 patients are admitted to the ATI.
On the territory of Romania, there are 14.066 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 18.118 people are in isolation at home and are under medical monitoring.
Up to this date, at the national level, 286.217 tests have been processed.
In the last 24 hours, 468 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 1.932 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened specifically for informing citizens.
By the competent structures of the MAI, 572 criminal files have been drawn up, up to now, under the aspect of committing the crime of thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 para. 1 Criminal Code.
The police and gendarmes detected, in the last 24 hours, 112 people who did not comply with the traffic restriction measure. Contraventional sanctions were applied to these persons, amounting to 46.000 lei.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other countries, according to the information obtained by diplomatic missions and consular offices of Romania abroad, 2.880 Romanian citizens have been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1.698 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 29 in France, 449 in Germany, 83 in Great Britain, 28 in Holland, 2 in Namibia, 3 in USA, 4 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil and Sweden. From the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and up to this moment, 102 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 33 in Great Britain, 8 in Spain, 5 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the US and one in Brazil, have passed away.
Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 21 were declared cured: 9 in Germany, 8 in France, 2 in Indonesia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
