COVID-19 Romania Cases Cured May 31

COVID-19 remains a dangerous virus for Romania, and the number of infections continues to increase during this period, as the authorities have already warned us several times, today a new increase in the number of infections has been announced.

The number of people cured after being infected with the COVID-19 virus is also increasing, and remains at 68%, i.e. just over two thirds of the total number of infected people, with almost 200 people still in intensive care.

"Until today, May 31, on the territory of Romania, 19.257 cases of people infected with the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the people confirmed positive, 13.256 were declared cured and discharged.

At the same time, so far, 1262 people diagnosed with infection with COVID-19, admitted to hospitals in Dolj, Bucharest, Iași, Suceava, Arad, Bacău, Timiș, Cluj, Neamț, Hunedoara, Constanța, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Ialomița, Bistrița- Năsăud, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Vrancea, Galati, Caraș-Severin, Mureș, Giurgiu, Bihor, Argeș, Vaslui, Botoșani, Alba, Sălaj, Brașov, Mehedinți, Teleorman, Gorj, Prahova, Vâlcea, Calarasi, Maramureș, Olt, Ilfov, Harghita, Tulcea and Buzau, died.

Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 124 new cases of illness have been registered.

At the moment, 160 patients are admitted to the ATI.

On the territory of Romania, there are 2.330 in institutionalized quarantine  people. Another 95.456 people are in isolation at home and are under medical monitoring.

Up to this date, at the national level, 439.197 tests have been processed.    

In the last 24 hours, 380 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 1.022 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened specifically for informing citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 141 contraventional sanctions, worth 109.900 lei.

Also, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday, 4 crimes were detected for thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 Criminal Code.

At the same time, on May 30,  44 people who did not comply with the measure of home isolation or quarantine were placed in institutionalized quarantine for 14 days or institutionalized quarantine was ordered for a new period of 14 days.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other countries, 3.074 Romanian citizens have been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1.699 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 84 in France, 583 in Germany, 87 in Great Britain, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 3 in the USA, 4 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey  and one each  in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil and Sweden. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and up to this moment, 106 Romanian citizens in  abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 35 in Great Britain, 9 in Spain, 6 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA and one in Brazil, have died.

Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 22 were declared cured: 9 in Germany, 9 in France, 2 in Indonesia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
