The situation regarding the number of infections with the new Coronavirus in Romania is not great, the figures still remain at a high level compared to last week, which puts more pressure on the authorities before making a decision on new possible relaxations.
The number of cures is constantly increasing, on the other hand, which comes again as very good news, the number of people admitted to ATI remaining constant, but we must continue to be extremely vigilant because total relaxation depends on us, or not.
"Until today, June 8, on the territory of Romania, 20.604 cases of people infected with the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the people confirmed positive, 14.826 were declared cured and discharged.
At the same time, so far, 1334 people diagnosed with infection with COVID-19, admitted to hospitals in Dolj, Bucharest, Iași, Suceava, Arad, Bacău, Timiș, Cluj, Neamț, Hunedoara, Constanța, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Ialomița, Bistrița- Năsăud, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Vrancea, Galati, Caraș-Severin, Mureș, Giurgiu, Bihor, Argeș, Vaslui, Botoșani, Alba, Sălaj, Brașov, Mehedinți, Teleorman, Gorj, Prahova, Vâlcea, Calarasi, Maramureș, Olt, Ilfov, Harghita, Tulcea and Buzau, died.
Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 125 new cases of illness have been registered.
At the moment, 146 patients are admitted to the ATI.
On the territory of Romania, there are 2.113 in institutionalized quarantine people. Another 94.405 people are in isolation at home and are under medical monitoring.
Up to this date, at the national level, 506.115 tests have been processed.
In the last 24 hours, 289 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 585 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially for informing citizens.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 343 contraventional sanctions, worth 168.100 lei.
Also, yesterday, through the competent structures of the Police, a crime was detected for thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 Criminal Code.
At the same time, on June 7 this year, 73 people who did not comply with the measure of home isolation or quarantine were placed in institutionalized quarantine for 14 days or institutionalized quarantine was ordered for a new period of 14 days.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 3.304 of Romanian citizens were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1.885 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 84 in France, 617 in Germany, 97 in Great Britain, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 3 in the USA, 4 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil and Sweden. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and up to this moment, 114 Romanian citizens in abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 9 in Spain, 6 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA and one in Brazil, have died.
Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 28 were declared cured: 9 in Germany, 9 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
