Coronavirus Romania Cases Cured June 24

After a few days with a high number of infections with the new Coronavirus, yesterday we had the first good news, a lower number with a large number of tests, but it is only a first step, without others in a good direction, so that vigilance must still remain key to protect us.

On the other hand, hospitals in Romania continue to be overcrowded, the number of those hospitalized in intensive care is still high, and increasing, and the number of cures remains at a low level, so that if we do not protect ourselves, we risk ending up in a situation similar to that of Italy.

"Until today, June 24, 24.826 cases of people infected with the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed in Romania. Of the people confirmed positive, 17.391 were declared cured and discharged.

To date, 1.555 people diagnosed with COVID-19 have died.

In the interval 23.06.2020 (10:00) – 24.06.2020 (10:00) 16 deaths (12 men and 4 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, admitted to hospitals in Argeș, Buzău, Călărași, Constanta, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Ilfov, Sibiu, Suceava and Vrancea.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 50-59 years, 3 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 8 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 4 deaths in a person over 80 years old.

All deaths are of patients who had comorbidities.

Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 321 new cases of illness have been registered.

At the moment, 186 patients are admitted to the ATI.

On the territory of Romania, there are 1.186 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 72.377 people are in isolation at home and are under medical monitoring.

Up to this date, at the national level, 651.003 tests have been processed.

In the last 24 hours, 469 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 1.590 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened specifically for informing citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 362 contraventional sanctions, worth 137.200 lei.

At the same time, on June 23 of this year, 70 people who did not comply with the measure of home isolation or quarantine were placed in institutionalized quarantine for 14 days or institutionalized quarantine was ordered for a new period of 14 days.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 3.605  Romanian citizens were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1.885 in Italy,  561 in Spain, 107 in France, 887 in Germany, 97 in the UK, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 3 in the USA, 6 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus  and one each  in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, India, Bulgaria and Sweden. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and up to this moment, 115 Romanian citizens in  abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 9 in Spain, 7 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA and one in Brazil, have died.

Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 31 were declared cured: 9 in Germany, 10 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
