Coronavirus Romania Cases Cured June 26

Yesterday was a new day of negative records in the Coronavirus pandemic, and this is because we recorded the highest daily number of infections in the last 2 months, and the Minister of Health, Nelu Tataru, warned us that this would it is repeated in the following period, today being 411 new cases.

A large number of cured people was also announced yesterday, over 500, but this is probably also because many asymptomatic, still positive for infection with the new Coronavirus, were discharged to wait at home, or in a "buffer zone" for the negative tests.

"Until today, June 26, 25.697 cases of people infected with the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed in Romania. Of the people confirmed positive, 18.181 were declared cured and discharged.

To date, 1.579 people diagnosed with COVID-19 have died.

Between 25.06.2020 (10:00) and 26.06.2020 (10:00) 14 deaths (7 men and 7 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, admitted to hospitals in Argeș, Botoșani, Brăila, were recorded. Brașov, Constanta, Gorj, Ilfov and Vrancea.

Of these, 2 deaths were recorded in the age category 50-59 years, 3 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 7 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 2 deaths in people over 80 years old.

All deaths are of patients who had comorbidities.

Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 411 new cases of illness have been registered.

At the moment, 186 patients are admitted to the ATI.

On the territory of Romania, there are 1.121 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 73.992 people are in isolation at home and are under medical monitoring.

Up to this date, at the national level, 675.382 tests have been processed.

In the last 24 hours, 407 calls were made to the single emergency number 112 and 962 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened specifically for informing citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 468 contraventional sanctions, worth 179.850 lei.

Also, yesterday, through the competent structures of the Police, a crime was detected for thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 Criminal Code.

At the same time, on June 25 of this year, 174 people who did not comply with the measure of home isolation or quarantine were placed in institutionalized quarantine for 14 days or institutionalized quarantine was ordered for a new period of 14 days.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 4.793   Romanian citizens were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1.885 in Italy,  561 in Spain, 107 in France, 2.075 in Germany, 97 in the UK, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 3 in the USA, 6 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus  and one each  in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, India, Bulgaria and Sweden. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and up to this moment, 115 Romanian citizens in  abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 9 in Spain, 7 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA and one in Brazil, have died.

Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 72 were declared cured: 50 in Germany, 10 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
