The Coronavirus situation in Romania is becoming more and more complicated day by day, and this is because the number of infections is constantly increasing, with 325 new ones today, and the authorities expect this process to continue due to non-compliance with protective measures and social distancing.

The number of cures still continues to grow, as does the number of people admitted to the intensive care units, some hospitals starting to reach their maximum capacity, which represents, in the end, a very serious problem for everyone.

"Until today, June 27, 26.022 cases of people infected with the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed in Romania. Of the people confirmed positive, 18.530 were declared cured and discharged.

To date, 1589 people diagnosed with COVID-19 have died.

In the interval 26.06.2020 (10:00) - 27.06.2020 (10:00) 10 deaths (6 men and 4 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, admitted to hospitals in Bistrița-Năsăud, Brașov, were recorded. Buzau, Galați, Bucharest, Neamț, Prahova and Suceava.

Of these, 1 death was fully registered in the age category 50-59 years, 4 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 4 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 1 death in a person over 80 years old.

All deaths are of patients who had comorbidities.

Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 325 new cases of illness have been registered.

At the moment, 199 patients are admitted to the ATI.

On the territory of Romania, there are 1.061 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 69.472 people are in isolation at home and are under medical monitoring.

Up to this date, at the national level, 677.259 tests have been processed. We note that reporting is partial, not including data from 12 laboratories out of 112 currently operating.

In the last 24 hours, 423 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 914 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened specifically for informing citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 460 contraventional sanctions, worth 159.552 lei.

Also, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday, 6 crimes were detected for thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 Criminal Code.

At the same time, on June 26 of this year, 52 people who did not comply with the measure of home isolation or quarantine were placed in institutionalized quarantine for 14 days or institutionalized quarantine was ordered for a new period of 14 days.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other countries, 4.795 Romanian citizens have been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1.885 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 107 in France, 2.075 in Germany, 97 in Great Britain , 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 3 in the USA, 6 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, India, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Sweden. From the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic until now, 115 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 9 in Spain, 7 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the US and one in Brazil, have died.

Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 72 were declared cured: 50 in Germany, 10 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
