Coronavirus Romania Cases Cured July 18

A new record of cases of infection with the new Coronavirus was announced today for Romania, it was revealed yesterday by Raed Arafat, which by the afternoon reached over 866 new registered cases, to which others were added up to now.

Practically, we are moving towards that forecast of the Romanian Government, which announces 1200 - 1800 daily cases in August, only that they will come much later, and this is also because a lot of people are being tested to go on vacations outside of Romania.

The number of patients cured after infection with the new Coronavirus remains, unfortunately, still very small, but intensive care beds are starting to disappear, in Bucharest the situation is critical, just like in other areas of our country.

"Until today, July 18, on the territory of Romania, 36.691 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed. Of the people confirmed positive, 24.865 were discharged, of which 22.488 cured patients and 2.377 asymptomatic patients, discharged 10 days after detection.

To date, 2.009 people diagnosed with COVID-19 have died.

Between 17.07.2020 (10:00) - 18.07.2020 (10:00) 21 deaths (14 men and 7 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, admitted to hospitals in Botoșani, Caraș-Severin, were recorded , Cluj, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Gorj, Harghita, Ialomița, Maramureș, Prahova, Suceava, Vâlcea, Vrancea and the City of Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was registered in the age category 20-29 years, 1 death in the age category 30-39 years, 1 death in the age category 40-49 years, 3 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 4 in the age category 60-69 years, 8 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 3 deaths in people over 80 years old.

All deaths are of patients who had comorbidities.

Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 889 new cases of illness have been registered.

At the moment, 280 patients are admitted to the ATI.

Up to this date, at the national level, 943.733 tests have been processed.

In the last 24 hours, 610 calls were made to the single emergency number 112 and 1.075 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially for informing citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 1.349 contraventional sanctions, worth 451.970 lei.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs operationalized, starting on 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection rules can be reported.

The calls are taken by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for verification of the reported aspects.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other countries, 5.212 Romanian citizens have been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1.885 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 117 in France, 2.330 in Germany, 129 in Great Britain, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 111 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 12 in Greece, 2 in Cyprus and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, India, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Sweden. From the beginning of the epidemic of COVID-19 (coronavirus) until this moment, 122 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 9 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the US and one in Brazil, have died.

Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 158 were declared cured: 135 in Germany, 11 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
