Coronavirus Romania Cases Healing August 11

The Romanian authorities announce the new cases of infection with the new Coronavirus registered in the last 24 hours in our country, and we are again talking about large numbers, which we were warned would continue to happen, due to the period without protection legislation.

Yesterday we had almost 800 cases, under 7000 tests, with a positivity rate of almost 12%, huge compared to the under 5% recorded at the beginning of June, and the situation will continue in this extreme trend dangerous.

The coronavirus continues to keep more than 400 people in intensive care, but it is expected that their number will increase as the days pass, the number of deceased people will also continue to increase without stopping while we are heading towards 70.000 infections.

"Until today, August 11, on the territory of Romania, 63.762 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

30.585 patients were declared cured and 6.756 asymptomatic patients were discharged 10 days after detection.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 1.215 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. To date, 2.764 people diagnosed with COVID-19 have died.

Between 10.08.2020 (10:00) and 11.08.2020 (10:00) 35 deaths (21 men and 14 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in hospitals in Alba, Arad, Argeș were recorded , Bacău, Bihor, Bistrita – Nasăud, Brașov, Buzău, Caraș – Severin, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mureș, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui, Vrancea and the Municipality of Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was registered in the age category 30-39 years, 1 death in the age category 40-49 years, 4 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 5 deaths in the age category 60-69 years , 13 deaths in the 70-79 age category and 11 deaths in the over 80 age category.

 33 of the recorded deaths are of patients who had co-morbidities, one deceased patient had no co-morbidities, and for one deceased patient no co-morbidities have been reported to date.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7.436. Of these, 485 are hospitalized at ATI. 

Until this date, at the national level, 1.404.845 tests have been processed. Of these, 19.491 were performed in the last 24 hours, 11.595 based on the case definition and medical protocol, and 7.896 on request. Also, since the last information provided by the GCS, the results of 20 tests processed prior to the last 24 hours and transmitted until August 11 have been reported.

On the territory of Romania, 7.161 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 5.419 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 20.562 people are in home quarantine, and 159 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 1.009 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 1.447 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened specifically for informing citizens. 

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 988 contraventional sanctions, in the amount of 210.250 lei.

Also, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday, three crimes were found for thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 Criminal Code.

We remind the citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs operationalized, starting on 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection rules can be reported."
