The Government of Romania: the Prime Minister's announcement regarding the Coronavirus

Romanian government coornavirus problems

The Government of Romania, through the voice of the Prime Minister, Ludovic Orban, announces that the number of infections with the new Coronavirus has increased in Romania after the Constitutional Court decided to declare unconstitutional a law that allowed the authorities to force those with symptoms to stay in hospitals.

The Romanian government also says that it has taken the appropriate measures so that the number of new cases does not increase, but stagnates, but unfortunately we are still talking about very high numbers, which could continue to increase in September, but at least we no longer see increases now.

"The fact that the number of infections increased - I say it clearly and the statistical data shows why the number of infections increased - because an institution controlled by the PSD, the Constitutional Court, made the decision to leave the Government for twenty or so days without any kind of legal tool to be able to stop the spread of the virus. And between the moment of the decision of the Constitutional Court and the moment when the PSD-ist majority in the Parliament catadixed to adopt the law and give us tools, the number of cases increased from under 400 in the previous week to over 1200 cases." according to Kanal D.
