Coronavirus Romania Cases Healing September 12

The Coronavirus pandemic continues with the same force for more than two weeks, the situation remains very serious in our country still, despite the efforts of the authorities to reduce the daily number of cases, this unfortunately did not happen for us.

The number of deaths remains high, as does the number of people who are admitted to intensive care, so the situation in Romania remains extremely worrying for the time being, with the country's authorities announcing that the month of September could bring a serious worsening of the Coronavirus pandemic .

All protective measures against the Coronavirus must be respected in the future, we must take care of social distancing, sanitation, but also wearing a mask, extremely important elements to be able to effectively protect not only ourselves, but also the others around us.

"42.811 patients were declared cured and 11.052 asymptomatic patients were discharged 10 days after detection (*the figures regarding discharged asymptomatic patients are being updated, as a result of technical changes to the data centralization application).

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 1.311 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. To date, 4.127 people diagnosed with COVID-19 have died.

Between 11.09.2020 (10:00) - 12.09.2020 (10:00) 27 deaths (12 men and 15 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, admitted to hospitals in Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, were recorded , Bistrița-Năsăud, Brașov, Caraș-Severin, Dolj, Mehedinți, Neamț, Prahova, Suceava, Tulcea and Bucharest.

Of these, 3 deaths were recorded in the age category 50-59 years, 5 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 10 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 9 deaths in the category over 80 years.

26 of the recorded deaths are of patients who had co-morbidities, and for one deceased patient no co-morbidities have been reported to date.

In the health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7.027. Of these, 467 are hospitalized at ATI. 

Until this date, at the national level, 2.066.860 tests have been processed. Of these, 24.939 were performed in the last 24 hours, 14.782 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 10.157 on request.

On the territory of Romania, 10.836 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 5.733 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 36.970 people are in home quarantine, and 12 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 1.232 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 533 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened specifically for informing citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 639 contraventional sanctions, in the amount of 172.950 lei.

Also, yesterday, through the competent structures of the Police, a crime was detected for thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 Criminal Code.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs operationalized, starting on 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection rules can be reported.
