Digi, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom I am at the center of an extremely important announcement, and this is because something that some Romanians have been waiting for a very long time will be blocked, namely the auction for 5G frequencies. More precisely, the auction for the 5G frequencies that should be allocated for use by DIGI, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom could be totally blocked after RCS & RDS acted in the ANCOM county because it wants to take the already licensed bands from the spectrum of 3500 MHz.
Digi, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom they want the 3500 MHz band spectrum for 5G networks because it allows offering the best services, with the largest bandwidth in cities, only that at the moment RCS & RDS has licensed some bands, until 2026, with the right extension. Those from ANCOM now want to cancel the license to reinstate the band in the licensing process for 5G, but RCS & RDS sued the institution, which could block the entire 5G auction for DIGI, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom.

Digi, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom they have been waiting for more than a year for the auction for the 5G frequencies, and this is because based on them they will be able to launch the telecommunications networks that so many Romanians have been waiting for for some time. The process between RCS & RDS and ANCOM could block the tender process for DIGI, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom only if the institution does not give up its claims, and considering that it is possible to change its president, it is not excluded that things may not remains the same.
Digi, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom they want the auction to take place as soon as possible to be able to implement their strategies for the development of 5G networks in Romania, but as long as there are disputes of this kind, it is unlikely that things will go in a good direction. It is expected that DIGI, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom will not participate in a 5G auction this year if the dispute between RCS & RDS and ANCOM continues, but for now everyone is waiting to see if any of the parties will give in.
