Coronavirus Romania: New Cases, Cures from November 7, 2020

Coronavirus Romania New Cases November 7

The coronavirus pandemic in Romania crossed a very important psychological threshold yesterday after it was announced that over 10.000 new cases were confirmed based on Real-Time PCR tests carried out by laboratories authorized by the authorities in our country .

The number of people hospitalized in intensive care continues to be very high, over 1000 people needing this kind of treatment, while over 100 deaths are still being announced every day, all because of the very large number of confirmed infections daily.

The situation has become so serious that the Romanian authorities have decided to impose a partial quarantine in our country, but this could only be the beginning before a total quarantine is instituted if the number of new cases does not decrease in the next month .

"Until today, November 7, on the territory of Romania, 296.999 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

201.114 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 9.937 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. The distribution of total cases and new cases by county can be found in the table below.

Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Below you have the graph made based on the reports received by the CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:
