Nelu Tataru: Romania has 1400 intensive care beds for the Coronavirus

Nelu Tataru intensive care beds Coronavirus

Nelu Tataru announced yesterday that Romania currently has 1400 dedicated intensive care beds for the Coronavirus, this despite the fact that 1250 of them are occupied by sick patients, and the number is constantly increasing.

Nelu Tataru says that apart from these 1400 beds, another 280 will be available in the coming weeks, the same thing being said since the beginning of the week, so it remains to be seen when exactly this process initiated by the Ministry of Health will be completed.

"We operationalized several intensive care beds. If at the country level we have a balance in the number of cases in ATI, in Bucharest we manage a larger number of cases. The exhortation remains for following some rules and for attending the doctor and the hospital in the early phase, not in the serious phase of the disease. We have 1.400 intensive care COVID beds right now. And we have another 280 beds operational in the next two weeks."
