Netflix made a very important, but completely surprising decision for millions of users around the world, and it still comes as one that could be of great use to an extremely large number of people in the near future. More precisely, those at Netflix have made the decision to offer users the opportunity to access movies, series, documentaries, cartoons, and only in audio format.
Netflix it is a video streaming platform, that is, all its content can be seen on any kind of monitor, along with an audio stream, but the American company has made the decision to allow people to listen only to them. For now, Netflix has implemented this functionality only in the application for Android phones, so it is being tested in beta version for some people, and the image below shows us very clearly what people are going to see.

Netflix will display in the video playback interface a new button named Video Off, and pressing it will completely hide the video stream, displaying a black screen with a series of control buttons for the materials. Restarting the video stream is as easy as closing it, that is, simply pressing that button will show the images again, Netflix considering that there are people who sometimes don't necessarily want to see images.
Netflix has also implemented in the settings menu of the Android application a button that allows the automatic deactivation of all sounds when headphones or external speakers are used to play content. Also, the option allows the sound to be completely stopped during any playback until the user manually reactivates the audio stream for the Netflix video materials, so everyone can choose exactly what they want to do.
Netflix surprises with these new functions, which "come out of nowhere" for its users, despite the fact that until now it has not been suggested by any rumor that any such functionality could be implemented.
