The Ministry of Health, through the coordinator of the project regarding the vaccination against the Coronavirus in Romania, Valeriu Gheorghita, revealed how long after immunization we are protected against infection, so that 14 days after the first dose we start to have some protection from the body.
The Ministry of Health also says that in order to benefit from the maximum protection offered by the vaccine, a second dose is necessary 21 days after the first, so that we will be protected with an efficiency of up to 95% against a possible infection with the new virus.
"From studies, the immune response starts to become protective about 14 days after the first dose, but the maximum benefits are obtained about 7 days after the second dose."
