DIGI Mobil: OFFICIAL announcement with a BAD News for Customers

DIGI Mobil made an official announcement for customers all over Romania, and apart from the great news, it also brings bad news for many of them.

DIGI Mobile charging

DIGI Mobile is one of the largest telecommunications operators in Romania at the moment, having millions, over millions, of customers throughout the country, and last week it made an official announcement for everyone. More precisely, those from DIGI Mobil have announced to their customers from all over Romania that even after January 1, 2021, they will enjoy roaming like at home in Great Britain, but also that the data rates will decrease in the space SEE

DIGI Mobile also announced the fact that it will not waive the surcharge it charges for roaming consumption by its customers from all over Romania when they are outside the country. DIGI Mobil imposed a surcharge for the benefits received in roaming by customers because its cheap subscriptions in Romania do not cover the costs of the benefits offered in roaming.

DIGI Mobil: OFFICIAL announcement with a BAD News for Customers

DIGI Mobile obtained from ANCOM the agreement to have this surcharge for roaming, it being extended until June 1, 2021, and it will not disappear soon, precisely because the subscriptions are very cheap. The rest of the telecommunications operators in Romania do not offer any benefit in roaming for subscriptions, or prepay extra options, of only 5 euros per month, or less, as DIGI Mobil offers them, but with that surcharge applied for customers.

DIGI Mobile it had no other solution than to apply this surcharge in order to cover its costs of providing roaming benefits for customers, and this because its subscriptions have maximum prices of 5 euros per month. If they had more expensive subscriptions, the people from DIGI Mobil could have waived the monthly roaming surcharge, but it is more important for Romanians to have cheap services in the country than to eliminate the roaming surcharge abroad.

DIGI Mobile it has never made it clear that it will waive the roaming surcharge for its customers from all over Romania, and it is unlikely that this will happen as long as the prices of its subscriptions will remain so low.
