Romanian Police actions to control the coronavirus

In the last 7 days, the Romanian Police has carried out more than 10.000 missions in order to review the preventive measures against infection with the new Coronavirus, and below you have the balance sheet made by the authorities.

"The spokesperson of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, chief police commissioner Monica Dajbog, made a press statement today, February 19, at 14.00:2 p.m., regarding the activities carried out by the MAI structures to limit the spread of the SARS-CoV-XNUMX virus.

"In the last seven days, the structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with employees from other institutions, carried out more than 10.600 control actions at the national level to prevent the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

About 500 people were checked, most of them proving responsible behavior by complying with health protection measures.
However, following the verification actions, it was found that 33.350 people did not wear a protective mask, 446 violated quarantine or isolation measures, 126 people did not respect physical distancing, and approximately 4.400 other people traveled during the night , within the restricted range, without having a valid reason.
The control actions of the last seven days also targeted 33.000 economic operators, 1.540 passenger transport operators and 62.700 locations of interest, including 25.000 restaurants, fast food and terraces.

In total, in the last week, 38.800 contraventional sanctions, worth 7,3 million lei, were applied for non-compliance with health protection measures.

Also, 28 criminal files were drawn up: 25 for thwarting the fight against diseases and three for false declarations regarding the reason for travel.

We remind you that the objective of the control activities is to discourage behaviors and activities that may favor the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and thus cause the serious illness of those around.

In addition to these checks, the structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs carried out 545 shipments of vaccine against COVID-19: three international shipments, 112 from the Regional Storage Centers to the County Directorates of Public Health and 430 to hospital units and vaccination centers.
About 1.400 MAI employees were involved in the missions to transport the vaccine doses.""
