CNCAV Authorities Investigate the Death of a Man a Day After Vaccination

The authorities in Romania are investigating the death of a man just one day after he was vaccinated against the Coronavirus with one of the serums that are available at the moment, and below you have presented the entire case by the authorities.

"Following the report sent by the Directorate of Public Health (DSP) Argeș, regarding the death of a man with a history of recent vaccination, for the correct information of public opinion, the National Committee for the Coordination of Activities regarding Vaccination against COVID-19 (CNCAV) does the following specifications:

On March 2 this year, the 45-year-old person presented himself, according to the schedule in the electronic platform, for the administration of the first dose of the vaccine produced by Pfizer/BioNTech, in a vaccination center in Mioveni, Argeș county.

Following the medical triage and specialized clinical examination by the vaccination staff, no chronic health problems were indicated. After the administration of the vaccine dose, according to the procedure, the man remained in the post-vaccination surveillance area, without showing symptoms, later leaving the vaccination center.

According to the data provided to the CNCAV, four hours after the administration of the vaccine, the patient was brought by ambulance to the Emergency Department of the Mioveni City Hospital, following an episode of loss of consciousness suffered at home.

Upon arrival at the medical unit, the patient was in a good general condition, without trauma. Following complex specific investigations, he remained under medical supervision, but in the evening of the same day, the man requested discharge on his own responsibility, contrary to medical advice. In the morning of March 3, the medical staff from the Ambulance, requested by his family, declared the man dead at home.

At this moment, DSP Argeș notified the competent authorities in order to carry out specific procedures to establish the causes of death. According to his family doctor, the person was on record with dyslipidemia and elevated blood pressure values."
