Coronavirus Romania: New Cases, Cures from March 8, 2021

Coronavirus Romania Cases Cured March 8

The Coronavirus pandemic continues in force in Romania, in the last 24 hours more cases have been registered than on the corresponding day a week ago, so we are talking about a continuous increase in the number of new cases in Romania.

Unfortunately, the number of deaths is still increasing, as is the number of people admitted to ATI, and all of this will continue at the same rate due to the increasing number of infections recorded in recent weeks.

However, the vaccination process continues at an increasingly alert pace, the number of daily vaccinations with a single dose against the Coronavirus increasing from day to day, which can give us hope that we will return to normal as soon as possible.

"Until today, March 8, on the territory of Romania, 830.563 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

761.631 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 2.280 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Below you have the graph made based on the reports received by the CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:
