The Romanian Police has indirectly issued a new very serious warning for all Romanians throughout the country, and this is because in the last 24 hours the authorities have continued to check compliance with the preventive measures against infection with the new Coronavirus, and have applied many sanctions.
The Romanian Police presents below its activity from the last 24 hours, and we are talking about almost 7000 contraventional sanctions applied by the authorities due to the fact that the measures to prevent the spread of the new Coronavirus in our country were violated.
"In the last 24 hours, 3.400 calls were made to the single emergency number 112.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on March 20, 6.906 contraventional sanctions, in the amount of 1.583.505 lei.
Also, through the competent structures of the Police, 2 criminal files were drawn up yesterday for thwarting the fight against diseases, in which 6 people are investigated, an act foreseen and punished by art. 352 Criminal Code.
We remind the citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs operationalized, starting on 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection rules can be reported."
