Raed Arafat says that the isolettes were used at the beginning of the Corona virus pandemic because then they wanted to isolate infected people from the rest of the world, being a small number of daily cases, but also very little information regarding the level of contagiousness of the virus and his aggressiveness.
"At the beginning of the pandemic, the number of cases was very small and we didn't know much about the virus. Isolates were very important to keep the patient isolated from the medical staff and his entourage as well. Slowly, slowly, the number of cases increased a lot, but at the same time we learned more about the virus and how we protect ourselves and the isolettes were no longer justified to use them when we reached thousands of patients.
