More precisely, the attackers behind this type of malware use the fact that in certain countries new restrictions are imposed due to COVID-19 to convince Android phone users to infect their phones without knowing.
Android is constantly the target of many attacks due to the fact that there are many users who can easily be turned into victims, and this new type of fixed attack is now based on this. Those who initiated this new attack for Android phones send people SMS messages, emails, or messages on social networks in which they "warn" them about new restrictions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 that are imposed in their areas.
