Romania is currently in full wave 4 of the Coronavirus pandemic, and unfortunately this represents a serious danger for the whole country, even if most people ignore the extremely serious situation our country has been going through for several weeks now.

Yesterday, Romania registered a new record of infections with the Corona virus due to the Delta variant, but INSP published a new weekly report on the variants of interest that must be monitored, and there we see that this variant has surpassed the Alpha one in terms of infections.

Romania currently has over 90% of the new infections generated by the Delta variant of the Coronavirus, the most contagious so far, it is spreading rapidly and uncontrolled in the community, which has led many localities to incidence rates of over 6/1000 inhabitants.

Romania has a national incidence rate of almost 4/1000 inhabitants, it is growing without stopping despite the fact that the number of vaccinated people is over 5 million, or over 30% of the number of eligible people, and it is expected that the number of new cases to increase a lot in the following days.

Romania would begin the month of October with over 12.000 new daily cases, moving towards 20.000 new daily cases in the middle of the month, but the figures may increase even more than that in the absence of an increase in the number of vaccinations, but also of new measures of restriction.
