Accommodation in Hotels Exclusively Permitted with Digital Green Certificate

Accommodation in hotels, and more than likely in guesthouses, or other accommodation units, is possible exclusively with a digital green certificate, according to Raed Arafat, who clarified the situation of this type of economic units that will be affected by the new restrictions imposed in Romania.

Digital green certificates are practically mandatory everywhere in Romania for almost anything except access to grocery stores or religious services, and this is because the authorities want to greatly reduce contact and the risk of infection.

"My opinion is that the best thing now is to stay where we were - because, pay attention, what I didn't say: green certificates will also have to be presented at the accommodation units; including in hotels. Yes exactly. I mean, it's clear: you don't have a vaccination or illness certificate, you can't stay in a hotel. And I think this is already applied in many European countries.

I saw this when I went to a meeting in Ljubljana, at the Slovenian presidency, and the first thing that was asked for at the hotel, at the accommodation, was the green certificate. I mean, we're not the only ones applying these kinds of rules right now."
