The Romanian Post has officially announced that it will deliver cheaper the products that are ordered through the OLX platform by Romanians from all over the country, and you can see below all the details regarding the partnership between the two companies.
"Because we like online shopping, #PoștaRomănă will deliver the products ordered from #OLX at a rate up to 44% lower, as opposed to standard costs.
Moreover, you are offered the option of opening the package upon delivery, in order to check its contents.
The Romanian Post National Company has concluded a contract with OLX Romania, the largest ad platform that allows the sale, purchase or exchange of goods between customers, quickly and easily, directly from a mobile phone or computer. Thus, starting today, May 25, 2021, buyers will be able to opt for the delivery of products through the Romanian Post, at a preferential rate of up to 44% lower, in contrast to the standard costs.
The parcels will reach the possession of the buyers through the INTER POINT service of the Romanian Post, intended for customers who sell or buy goods on online classifieds platforms.
The option of delivery through the Romanian Post is very easy, by the seller, from his OLX customer account, having the possibility to select, from a number of 800 computerized postal subunits, one agreed by the buyer, from where he will pick up his sending. The seller performs the AWB directly from the OLX platform and presents it, together with the package, to any post office.
Shipments will reach their destination in a maximum of 2 days from presentation, in the case of deliveries made in the same county and in a maximum of 3 days, for delivery in other counties. They will be able to be monitored in the Track&Trace system along the entire technological flow, from presentation to delivery. The maximum allowed weight of the shipment is 30 kg.
The Romanian Post ensures the notification of the recipients by sending an SMS, when the shipment arrives at the postal subunit. Also, the buyer is offered the option of opening the package upon delivery, in order to check the contents.
All expenses are borne by the buyer, who makes the payment, at the destination, by postal order. The shipments will be kept in the postal subunits, at the disposal of the recipients, for 10 days. If the parcels are not picked up or are refused, they are returned to the senders, the costs being borne by the OLX company.
"Through the partnership concluded with OLX Romania, we support the users of this platform, with a rate up to 44% lower, unlike the list rates. We are pleased that OLX identified a reliable partner in the Romanian Post Office and turned to us, by concluding this contract, following the analysis from which it emerged that 26% of the shipments were delivered through our company. We are convinced that it will be a successful partnership and we estimate a traffic of over 600.000 parcels, annually", said Horia Grigorescu, General Director of Romanian Post.
