Saturn: The AMAZING Picture of the Planet Revealed to Mankind

Saturn The AMAZING Image of the Planet Revealed to Mankind

Saturn is the second largest planet in the solar system, a very important point of interest for those from NASA, who in recent years have recorded and published many images of it for mankind. Today we have the opportunity to see a new image of Saturn, but this one is captured by the Cassini space probe when it is near one of the moons about which humanity does not know much, namely the moon Tethys, one of the small ones near the cosmic body .

Saturn is presented to us as it is seen from its frozen moon, and if the astronauts were ever there, this is how the planet would look, which is surrounded by many cosmic objects. The image was captured by the Cassini spacecraft in 2005, but those from NASA decided to publish it now to reveal to us what Saturn looks like from such a perspective, and this says a lot about how important it is in the system solar.

Saturn has several moons nearby, and Tethys has a diameter of about 1000 kilometers and is at a distance of about 300.000 kilometers from the planet. Basically, we are talking about a much smaller moon than ours, but Tethys orbits Saturn at an extremely close distance compared to our moon, it being one of the 5 big moons orbiting the second largest planet in our solar system now .

"Viewed from the icy moon Tethys, the rings and shadows would display fantastic views of the Saturnian system. Haven't you been on Tethys lately? Then this lovely circular landscape from the Cassini spacecraft will have to do for now. Caught in sunlight just below and to the left of the image's center in 2005, Tethys itself is about 1.000 kilometers in diameter and orbits not five Saturn radii from the gas giant's center.”

Saturn has not been flown by the Cassini spacecraft for several years, but those from NASA are following very carefully everything that happens near it with the existing telescopes on Earth. This gives scientists the ability to more clearly monitor the way Saturn evolves, but also the way the objects around it move in the solar system, one that is greatly influenced not only by the sun, but also by the two great planets from it.

Saturn has revealed many of its secrets so far, so we can expect more important information for humanity to appear in the not too distant future.
