Britain wants to send M270 MLRS rocket launcher systems to Ukraine, asking for US permission to do so because we are talking about US-made weapons, and the request comes after the Americans made the decision to supply similar military equipment to the Ukrainians to could launch effective counterattacks.
Great Britain helped Ukraine a lot during the war, and does not stop offering its support for the country that is currently fighting both for its independence and to protect the whole of Europe from a war that is a threat including for some of the NATO countries now.

According to Politico, the UK asked the US to supply Ukraine with the US-made M270 MLRS within a few weeks. The request followed the announcement that the US will send similar systems to Ukraine.
