DIGI RCS & RDS has decided to pay tens of millions of euros at the current auction to buy network blocks that it will use to expand 5G coverage in Romania in the coming years, if it can. DIGI RCS & RDS stopped the expansion of the 5G network in 2020 when the Coronavirus pandemic started, and almost 3 years later, things have not changed in any way, but maybe the acquisition of these frequency blocks will change things for the better soon .

DIGI RCS & RDS has bid for the future 5G frequencies while continuing to improve and expand the current networks it has in Romania, and this is because it will continue to rely on them for many years to come. DIGI RCS & RDS has constantly improved its coverage in Romania, expanding it to fulfill the legal obligations it assumed when it bid for the network blocks it currently uses.
DIGI RCS & RDS continues to invest in the current networks while it will also invest in the 5G one, of course after the problem of Huawei's telecommunications equipment, which still cannot be used in Romania, is clarified. It is not yet known when a final decision could be made regarding Huawei equipment in Romania, but the people from DIGI RCS & RDS are looking to use the best equipment at the lowest possible cost in order to keep the prices of the services at a sales.
