ENGIE, one of the largest suppliers of electricity and natural gas in Romania, officially notifies its customers throughout the country regarding an extremely important measure that was taken by the Government of Romania, namely the granting of energy cards that helps the Romanians to partially reduce their costs.
ENGIE explains below that these energy cards can be used to pay for the company's services, but only under certain conditions which are explained below, the amount of 1.400 LEI promised by the Romanian Government being divided into two equal installments of 700 each of LEI, offered every semester from 2023.
It is very important that this money that the Government of Romania offers to Romanians can be used not only to pay the bills from ENGIE Romania, or other energy suppliers, but also to buy firewood, fuel oil, pellets, for the centralized system for heating, or for other heating materials.
ENGIE Romania also offers these explanations for Romanians who do not know details of this kind when it comes to how the money granted by the authorities can be used, but it is very important that you also know this information because it is extremely important, and you help pay for other materials needed for energy supply.
Beneficiaries can make payments through the postal order service for current and/or outstanding debts to energy suppliers, using the energy card. Payment can be made at any agency of the Romanian Post, at the postman or through the application made available by the Romanian Post. Beneficiaries will receive a proof of payment, where the amount remaining after making the payment, the amount of the payment/payments made and the supplier/suppliers to whom the payment was made must be mentioned.
Cards allocated to both installments can be used until December 31, 2023 inclusive. The support cannot be used outside the validity period provided previously. This card can be used to pay for: electricity, gas, thermal energy in the central heating system, cylinder, firewood, fuel oil, pellets and other heating materials.
