ANM, the National Meteorological Administration, issued a new last-minute official meteorological alert for Romania on April 23, 2024, bringing to our attention a cloud of Saharan dust that will affect our country during the next day.
ANM explains below the fact that the air mass with Saharan dust has already arrived over Romania and will move until the middle of tomorrow, so we will see a lot of deposits in all regions of the country, as the meteorology experts say now.
Notice regarding the transport of Saharan dust in Romania!
Between April 23, 09 a.m. and April 24, 13 p.m., air circulation, predominantly south-westerly, will favor the advance from the north of Africa of an air mass loaded with dust particles of Saharan origin, towards the south-east of Europe.
This air mass will be over Romania on Tuesday (April 23) and in the first part of Wednesday (April 24), and dust deposits can be observed in the areas and intervals in which it will rain.
On Wednesday afternoon, the air mass laden with Saharan dust particles will move northeast and away from the country.
