iOS 12.1 jailbreak a fost demonstrat pe un telefon iPhone X in cursul zilelor trecute, un foarte cunoscut hacker chinez aratand cum poate fi exploatat telefonul celor de la Apple. El a facut demonstratia pentru a confirma faptul ca are un exploit care afecteaza iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.1, versiuni vechi ale sistemului de operare, care nu mai sunt semnate in momentul de fata.
O solutie de jailbreak pentru iOS 12 nu a fost inca lansata de catre vreun hacker pentru telefoanele iPhone, insa am vazut deja cateva dovezi ale faptului ca exploit-uri exista. Ceea ce este demonstrat mai jos ar putea fi transformat intr-o solutie de jailbreak, hackerul publicand partial codul de exploatare, dar e nevoie de completarea sa, si transformarea intr-un software pentru toata lumea.
Este totusi cert faptul ca iOS 12 nu este chiar atat de bine protejat de catre compania Apple, si o solutie de jailbreak ar putea fi lansata in baza exploit-urilor existente. Problema este ca solutia de jailbreak va fi tot pentru versiuni vechi ale sistemului de operare, asa ca ar trebui sa aveti versiuni vechi ale iOS 12 in telefoane pentru a le putea folosi.
