Variant for iPhone / iPod Touch of the most popular chat client in the world, Yahoo! Messenger, was updated today to version 1.3.1 via iTunes. It seems that the users of the application have made numerous requests to the team from Yahoo! and it listened to their complaints, bringing a series of news through this update: the possibility to change the image from the avatar directly from the application (this being, according to the developers, one of the most requested options), the possibility to send several types of files through the application directly in the iPhone. introduction of 4 new languages, etc.
Here is the changelog:
- Customers now have the ability to configure your image from within the application. This was one of the features most requested by users;
- Users will now be updated in real time when their contacts change their image;
- file transfer now supports additional file types, including Office documents, PDF files and video formats;
- a new option for privacy allows users to ignore incoming messages from people not included in their contact list;
- The application is now available in 4 new languages: Italian, French, German and Spanish;
- several problems of programming have been solved.
It is admirable that Yahoo! takes into account what the users of its applications want and I hope that other big names (Manzana!) to adopt this attitude.
