The truth behind the recent problems with appulo.us

From the latest information posted on hackulo.us It seems that the post my about closing appulo.us could be partially/totally wrong. From what it seems Kyek decided on his own to make certain changes in relation to the server that hosts the giant appulo.us without notifying anyone from the administration team hackulo.us.

Here are the variants that are circulating at the moment about the reasons behind the sudden "death" of the site appulo.us :

  • He's probably going to get his files/db dumped on Rapidshare and rm -rf'd soon if he is actually considering putting his website on a shared host.
  • He's contradicting the point of Appulous, which is to be a central community resource. He should know that his server, if it were a central community resource, cannot even remotely handle the amount of traffic it was being fed when it was a central community resource.
  • He's probably not going to release v2. He doesn't have time for it as far as I'm aware, and probably still won't have time to manage his website when he does put it back up. The most he'll do is remove the troll bridge.

Apparently Kyek moved all the content of the appulo.us server to another, public server, which can be accessed much more easily by the administrators of the respective network, so the security of the information decreased a lot and this apparently determined the management hackulo.us to refuse collaboration with Kyek until he explains his actions.

Until another one on appulo.us the following message appears:

Yo! I'm having some servers moved around. Everyone involved in this is busy as hell, so it might take a few days. Check back later for some news 🙂

(lol @ this domain being re-pointed to a french industry site by mistake xD)

I hope the boys solve their problems quickly and continue working on the new one InstallR because it is less important if appulo.us will be put back into operation or not considering that AppTrackR face the traffic for now.
