geohot is walking around Europe these days to be present at several meetings of hackers who make jailbreak/decoding programs for iDevices and the above video was filmed last night in Paris where geohot participated in Nuit du hack : Hacking night- ului (more or less) where he revealed some spicy details about iDevices. According to geohot any iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch that has an unused exploit in it and geohot has used a different exploit for each of its jailbreak/decoding solutions and will probably continue to do so with future models of iPhone.
During last night's meeting, geohot said that he will work on a jailbreak/decoding solution, called pwned4life, for the iPhone 4 (in particular) as soon as it is available, so there is a very good chance that this solution will appear sometime next month if geohot will keep its word. In fact, all he has to do is keep his word, because if he puts his mind to contributing, he can do anything for the iPhone community!
"There is also, I hinted to this a couple of times, an unreleased exploit in every iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch in the bootrom to get code execution. And you know if I ever do another jailbreak, that's the exploit I have. If you've seen I posted like a picture of 4.0 jailbroken. I posted my jailbroken iPad. All before Spirit was released. And I used like a completely different set of exploits which maybe when iPhone 4 comes out will be out.”
