Ok, I noticed that some of those who received free codes after the contests have a little problem with using them, so this article aims to teach you how to enter an iTunes code to download an application for free from the AppStore. So, we take an iTunes code of the form: POCN6EHP21PR (do not try to use it because it is made randomly) and to download the application associated with this code you must open the iTunes US AppStore (most free applications have the codes for the iTunes US AppStore) and in the at the top right you have a menu "Quick Links" and the first link is called redeem. Click on redeem, enter the code and iTunes will tell you which application is attached to that code and then it will download it for free.
It doesn't matter if your account has an attached card or not, the redeem works on any account as long as the code is valid. The codes are generally valid for 2 weeks from generation, so if you receive a code then it would be good to use it immediately after receiving it.
