I don't know how many of you have heard about the application Voice Actions for Android, but I only heard about it yesterday and I was very amazed at what Google managed to do for the owners of terminals equipped with the Android operating system. Basically, the Voice Actions application allows you to control the most important functions of your phone through simple voice commands. Voice Actions allows you to:

  • send an SMS to a person by simply saying the person's name and the text;
  • to calculate a route to a destination by saying only the name of the destination and giving the command to calculate the route;
  • search on google for information about anything;
  • to order a pizza from your favorite restaurant;
  • call contacts from the phone book;
  • write a personal note;
  • open a website by simply saying the name;
  • to write/send an e-mail.

Apple set the tone for this kind of functions, but Google took the technology to a completely different level by launching the Voice Actions application. It is true that the application is 100% functional only for people who have perfect diction and pronounce the words in English flawlessly, because if you have tried Voice Control on iPhone you have noticed that you have to say everything very clearly and correctly.

I for one was very pleasantly impressed by this application and honestly I would like to see something similar for the iPhone, we know it is possible, but someone skilled enough to do it must be found. To me, one seems extremely useful and would reduce the time of physical use of the phone but also the time for performing some functions. So, what do you think of her?
