Mac OS X 10.7 Lion – Mac OS X iOS style

As everyone expected, Apple a made a brief presentation of the future version of Mac OS X 10.7 which will be called Lion and will come with a lot of very interesting news borrowed from the younger brother iOS. My opinion is that Apple learns from the iPhone community, more precisely learns how to adapt its operating systems so that they attract as many new customers as possible for the existing hardware. With Mac OS X Lion, Apple tries to "reunite" Mac OS X with iOS by implementing features that are currently found in jailbroken versions of iDevices.

Apple will implement in the new Mac OS X Lion a new feature called Mission Control which is essentially an expose look for the applications open in the background, so you will be able to have an overview of everything you have open on the Mac and using the Magic Mouse you will be able to easily switch from one application to another with a "gesture" or a click. Apple borrowed the "pages" from iOS and now all the applications installed on your Mac will be very nicely ordered in LaunchPad (the name for the new interface dedicated to applications) which also allows you to create folders in exactly the same way as iOS.

I for one was surprised by the presentation of the new Mac OS X 10.7 Lion and to be honest I can't wait for the release in the summer of 2011.
