Did iOS 4.2.1 fix the iPhone 4 proximity sensor problem?

As you already know, the proximity sensor in the iPhone 4 had a tendency to work irregularly, that is, many people said that they woke up to their calls being cut off out of the blue because the proximity sensor was activated even when the phone was held to their ear. iOS 4.1 should have solved this big inconvenience but unfortunately the problem persisted, but now in iOS 4.2.1 it seems that Apple has found the ideal method to solve the problem with the proximity sensor. I've had some unpleasant experiences (very few to be honest) with the proximity sensor in the iPhone 4, but since I have 4.2.1 I've tried to make it deactivate itself but I haven't succeeded yet. From what I have read so far, most iPhone 4 owners say that the problem has been solved.

How many of those who have updated so far can say that this problem disappeared in iOS 4.2.1?
