The new dual-core smartphones are at least 2 times more powerful than iDevices

Those from Anandtech they thought of testing the new dual-core platforms available in the Android smartphones announced these days at the Mobile World Conference. LG Optimus 3D with the OMAP 4430 platform, LG Optimux 2X with the Tegra 2 platform and Samsung Galaxy 2 with the Exynos 4210 platform were used for the tests. Of course, all the results were compared with those of other devices tested in the past and in this article I refer only for iDevices, which on average have halved performance compared to the new dual-core platforms. Regardless of the benchmark used: for navigation, for the graphic chip, for the processor, etc., iPhone 4, iPad and iPhone 3GS had halved performances.

Apple must implement a dual-core platform in its terminals plus a new, much more powerful graphics processor to face the onslaught of devices presented so far. Apple uses the traditional ARM and probably the tests over a few weeks with the iPad 2 will place the tablet among the most powerful mobile devices on the market.
