Apple patents a new method to preview applications open in the background on the iPad

A few days ago at the US Patent and Trademark Office a invention patent which presents us with a new way to preview applications open in the background on an iPad tablet. The patent presents a method similar to the one in the Spaces application, that is, a kind of expose in which thumbnails of the applications open in the background are displayed and from which we can choose the desired application. Activating the function could be done using a gesture with 2 fingers in a certain part of the screen, opening the menu would be done using gestures with 5 fingers and selecting the application from the open ones would be done with a simple tap, that is exactly how do it now with the task switcher.

The technology presented by Appl is more than useful for iPad tablet owners who have such a large screen at their disposal but are limited to using the small task switcher. In Cydia there are applications that imitate this functionality, but to use them you must first jailbreak and many people avoid this solution. I, for one, can't wait for such functionality in iOS 5 and I hope that Apple will not delay its implementation.
