The new iPhone will be smaller and thinner according to the president of France Telecom

Stephane Richard, the president of France Telecom, which owns Orange, a declared yesterday in an interview with the publication Allthingsdigital that the next iPhone will be smaller and thinner. He does not refer to a possible future model of the iPhone, but to the terminal that Apple will launch this year, either in June or somewhere in the fall. He confirmed that Orange is working with Apple on the development and implementation of the new small-sized SIMs, supporting the idea that the new terminal will look different. It seems that the device has an edge-to-edge screen, that is, on the sides there is no space between the screen and the case, but the device also has a GPS navigation system that provides voice directions.

The person who saw the prototype of the new iPhone said the device was significantly lighter than the iPhone 4 and had an edge-to-edge screen that could be manipulated by touch, as well as a virtual keyboard and voice-based navigation.

Now it is difficult to say how truthful the information of the Orange president is, however he announced and confirmed the launch of the iPad tablet last year, so he is more than sure informed about the terminals that Apple will launch. There is a chance that the iPhone Nano will appear on the market this year alongside a normal-sized iPhone, and it is possible that the small device will be launched in the fall together with the new iPod Touch line. For now, nobody knows anything for sure.
