Romanians from Evolio are preparing to launch on the market a very interesting tablet equipped with the Android operating system but also with the Nvidia Tegra 2 chip found in most tablets now available on the market. Watching the presentation clip, I can see that the product looks quite good, moves just as well and is better equipped than other "top" tablets already available on the market from well-known manufacturers. Neura runs Android 2.2/3.0 and I assume that a number of tablets will come with 2.2 for the unlucky ones and the rest will come with 3.0 and will probably be able to be updated to version 3.1 which will be released soon. I find it interesting that the tablet is able to offer 10 hours of autonomy when reading a book, the specifications are similar to those of the iPad, but it seems to me that it is hard to believe that the autonomy is really that good:
– 10 hours of reading
– 8 hours of internet browsing with wi-fi
– 7 hours of video playback
– 6 hours of internet browsing with 3G
I like how the tablet is thought out (from a hardware point of view), I like to see that a team of Romanians can build products that seem to be better equipped than others that are much more prestigious, but it remains to be seen how the tablet behaves in a review . Neura is not the first tablet designed and sold by Evolio Romania, but it is the most expensive and is available in 2 versions: a 3G one for 1900 lei and a Wi-Fi Only one for 1500 lei.
