Although mobile browsers include functions that allow the user to reopen a previously visited page by simply opening a list of recently visited sites, the mobile versions of the same browsers unfortunately remain "poorer". Fortunately for iOS Safari there are tweaks so BackForwardList for Safari is a new tweak for iDevices that allows us to open a previously visited page by simply selecting it from a list. The tweak does not have a dedicated settings menu in the Settings application, so it works as soon as we install it and the commands we can use are these:
- long pressing the Back/Forward buttons opens a list of recently accessed sites;
- performing a swype next to a page allows its deletion;
- deleting all pages from the displayed lists is done by using the Settings > Safari > Clear History button.
BackForwardList for Safari is available for free in Cydia in the BigBoss repo.
Yet another Back-Forward list for MobileSafari, implemented as it should be.
* Hold the "back" or "forward" button in Safari to launch the list.
* Each item on the list can be deleted by swiping across a row.
* All the items on the list can be cleared by hitting the "Clear History" button (Settings > Safari > Clear History).
