Retina Display monitors for computers will become a reality thanks to Windows 8

iPhone 4 was the first device to benefit from Retina Display technology, a standard that motivated mobile phone manufacturers to improve the quality of screens implemented in mobile terminals. A retina screen is basically a screen whose density of pixels per inch is greater than 250, that is, it has more pixels per inch than the human eye can perceive. For several months there have been rumors that Apple could launch Macs with Retina Display, but Microsoft could be the first company to take this step because the new Windows 8 will support monitors with a number of pixels per inch greater than 250.

The existence of such screens implies the development of very powerful graphic cards that must support double resolutions, practically, compared to the current ones. For now, it is not known when screens for computers that can be called Retina Ready could be launched, but in the future the name will play an important role in the promotion of screens for computers. However, Apple could take the first step and launch next year the first Macs with products of this kind, but everything depends on the screen manufacturers who have to find a cheap production method.
