RockMate is a new application launched last evening in the App Store that promises to transform the screen of the iPad tablet into a real music studio. The application is designed to allow users to use a whole series of musical instruments on the screen of the same tablet. In fact, you can see in the video clip above that the available musical instruments are displayed in the corners of the tablet screen and several people can gather around the iPad/iPad 2 to use them without the slightest problem.

Rockmate is easy to play with smart chord progressions, sounds great with separated guitar effects and in-house produced audio samples and is also fully customizable with multiple drums and keyboard styles.
Although the application itself is very interesting, I think that the question of utility arises here because it is quite difficult to use a tablet by several people at the same time. Whatever the situation, RockMate is available for only €0.79 in the App Store, a more than good price that recommends it at least for a trial of the system implemented in it.
