Apple is suing Samsung, accusing it of copying the SmartCover case

Although Apple lost to Samsung the ban blocking sales of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet, the American company take now into view tablet accessories. A few months ago he talked about these days Smart Cases which you see in the image above. They are not manufactured by Samsung but were advertised on the company's website and as you can see they almost perfectly resemble the SmartCover available for iPad 2. Because they resemble so well, Apple filed a complaint with an Australian court that it refers to the covers for the Galaxy tablet and it is supposed to be about the above accessories.

Apple Inc. claims Samsung Electronics Co.'s cases for Galaxy 10.1 computer tablets and Samsung phones infringe its patents. Apple said it sued Samsung at a hearing in Sydney today.

Of course, Apple cannot block the sale of the Galaxy Tab tablet in Australia based on this alleged infringement of a patent, but it can prohibit the sale of cases. Everything boils down to proving whether or not Samsung produces these accessories, but Apple will not gain much from this process.
