Apple and the need to launch an iPad 3 tablet with Retina Display

For 2 years, Apple has offered its users iPad tablets with 9.7-inch screens that had a resolution of 1024 x 768. For more than a year, it has been rumored that Apple would launch an iPad tablet with Retina display, and I think that this year the rumors will come true. I say this because at CES 2012 we already have two tablets from Acer si Asus that have screens with 1080p resolution and the attention of consumers will definitely go to them. The iPad 2 tablet is very good, it is the most sought after and bought, but we must admit that the screen resolution leaves much to be desired.

When you look at the screen of an iPad tablet and the icons in Springboard, you realize that Apple is a bit behind, but the iPad 3 could save things. It is said that Apple does not look at the competition when it comes to building its own products, but it is absurd to assume that a company like Apple does not look at the most attractive products on the market and does not try to surpass them. Most of the tablets available on the market have 720p or higher resolutions and in 2012 Apple must take the big step and implement Retina Display resolution (2048 x 1536 pixels) in the iPad 3.

Such a high resolution would also require a quad-core processor to run applications, movies and games as well as possible and iOS 5.1 already contains evidence which indicate that the quad-core processors are currently being tested with the Cupertino company's iDevices. I for one believe that the implementation of Retina Display on the iPad 3 will convince many consumers to forget about Android tablets and I hope that Apple does not go with the idea of promoting a tablet with Siri and FaceTime HD because their strategy could be one doomed to failure.
